In March, the whole world closed its doors, airports, railway and bus stations. There were months filled with silence, anxiety, worry and suffering, and all that was brought to us by the corona virus, which we hear about every day, even though we may not read the news or watch television. The pandemic, which practically disfigured and set the world back when we planned to make the most progress, turned our lives upside down – it turned us into heroes who instead of powerful stallions ride a couch or sofa all day, performing their business duties in pajamas, with obligatory professionalism in all emails, and they leave the house only when they run out of the most basic things. This year, we have memorized the numbers of restaurants that have delivery, we have learned to come to terms with the fact that nature is more powerful and that there is always something that can derail us, no matter how hard we try not to let it happen.
Although we initially denied the existence of the virus, doing our best to say with a minimal amount of doubt in our voices that it will not happen in our country, but only in distant China or nearby countries, the virus has shown to be stronger than humanity, that it knows no bounds or barriers and that it will cross the hills and the sea with ease, in order to reach each of us.
Yet, as we approach the end of this hellish year that was different from all others, we somehow see the light at the end of the tunnel, hoping that the world will put an end to this pandemic, and that we, the inhabitants of this planet, will finally be able to hug our friends, drink coffee in our favorite cafeteria without a mask on our face and travel to a remote corner of the world, which is waiting for us to discover it.
With that in mind, we decided to give you extra enthusiasm and faith in the coming year, presenting you with the best and most luxurious hotels in the world that will open their doors next year. From those located in tropical and wild locations, to hotels that adorn the major metropolises of our world, these hotels will do their best to forget about 2020, which will be behind us in two weeks.
